In the Destiny Matrix, the love line is a group of points that describe how you tend to behave in relationships, from first contact to shared money. You can calculate these points from your birth date alone using the form below.
What is the love line in the Destiny Matrix?
The love line in the Destiny Matrix is a set of points that describe your pattern in relationships, not a prediction about specific people or events. In this 22-arcana method, several points speak directly about love, intimacy and the people close to you.
The key relationship points are:
- E – the center of the matrix, read in the chapter Personal Communication and, together with U and V, in Sexuality
- J – read as Relationship Channel
- K – read as Ideal Partner
- L – read as Money and People
- U and V – read together with E in the chapter Sexuality
The report usually reads your love line points in this order: E, J, K, then E, U and V together, and finally L. The points J, K and L are what many readers call the love line, because they focus on the relationship channel, the ideal partner energy and the meeting of money with close people.
The Destiny Matrix describes your pattern in relationships. It does not predict specific encounters and does not judge anyone you are with. It offers questions about how you speak, connect, choose, share intimacy and handle shared resources.
How to calculate your love line
You calculate the love line points by adding together specific positions in your Destiny Matrix and then reducing any result above 22 by adding its digits. The fastest way is to use the main Destiny Matrix calculator first, then apply the formulas below.
Here are the formulas for the love line and related points:
| Point | Formula | What it relates to |
|---|---|---|
| J | D + E | Relationship Channel |
| N | C + E | Helper point for L and K |
| L | J + N | Money and People |
| K | J + L | Ideal Partner |
| U | F + G + H + I | Center of the family square |
| V | E + U | Part of Sexuality |
Whenever a sum is higher than 22, you reduce it by adding its digits until you reach a number from 1 to 22. That final number corresponds to one of the 22 major arcana that this method uses.
Here is how this looks in a worked example.
Anna is born on 15 May 1990. In Anna’s matrix, the center point E is already known: E is 6, The Lovers. The other base points that Anna needs are D 12, C 19, and the family square points F 20, G 6, H 9 and I 4.
- Step 1 – J (Relationship Channel): J = D + E. For Anna, J = 12 + 6 = 18, The Moon.
- Step 2 – N (helper point): N = C + E. For Anna, N = 19 + 6 = 25, and 2 + 5 = 7 after reduction.
- Step 3 – L (Money and People): L = J + N. For Anna, L = 18 + 7 = 25, which reduces to 7, The Chariot.
- Step 4 – K (Ideal Partner): K = J + L. For Anna, K = 18 + 7 = 25, which again reduces to 7, The Chariot.
- Step 5 – U (family square center): U = F + G + H + I. For Anna, U = 20 + 6 + 9 + 4 = 39, and 3 + 9 = 12, The Hanged One.
- Step 6 – V (part of Sexuality): V = E + U. For Anna, V = 6 + 12 = 18, The Moon.
Now Anna has all the points that describe the love line and related relationship themes: E 6 (The Lovers), J 18 (The Moon), K 7 (The Chariot), L 7 (The Chariot), U 12 (The Hanged One) and V 18 (The Moon).
How to read the love line point by point
You read the Destiny Matrix love line in a fixed order: first E as Personal Communication, then J as Relationship Channel, then K as Ideal Partner. After that, you look at E, U and V together in Sexuality, and finally at L as Money and People.
Each point comes with a guiding question in the report. When you combine the question with your arcanum, you get a focused way to reflect on your relationships.
Personal Communication
Personal Communication E is read with the question: “How do you speak, how do you listen, and what do you leave unsaid?” This point shows your basic way of relating through words, tone and attention.
Anna’s E is 6, The Lovers. Anna speaks gently and carefully, checking every sentence in the head before it reaches the other person. The Personal Communication chapter would invite Anna to notice where this care helps connection and where it might hide what Anna really thinks or feels.
When you read your own E, you can ask yourself:
- How do I usually start important conversations?
- What do I often hold back from saying to people close to me?
- Where does my natural communication style support intimacy, and where does it blur things?
- What usually pulls me into a relationship at the start?
- What situations or conflicts tend to repeat with different partners?
- Where do I rely on feelings and where on facts when I get closer to someone?
- With whom do I feel more alive, focused and growing?
- With whom do I feel stuck, slowed down or blurred?
- Which behaviors from the other person make it easier for me to be myself?
- E 6, The Lovers, brings careful connection and attention to the other person’s needs into intimacy.
- U 12, The Hanged One, describes service and a new perspective, a pause chosen on purpose. In intimacy, this may show up as willingly slowing down, serving the other person and looking at closeness from different angles.
- V 18, The Moon, again brings intuition and imagination into the intimate space: feeling more than can be checked, sensing mood and hidden desires.
- How do I talk about intimacy and what I like?
- Where do my family patterns (U) show up in my body and desires?
- What do I feel in intimacy that I find hard to explain in words?
- How do I usually handle shared money with partners or family?
- What kinds of conflicts or solutions keep repeating around finances and close people?
- What gets “settled” when we talk about money: old tensions, loyalty, trust?
Relationship Channel
Relationship Channel J is read with the question: “How do you enter a relationship and what keeps repeating in it?” This point describes your main line into relationships, including patterns that show up again and again.
For Anna, J is 18, The Moon. In a relationship Anna goes into feelings and guesses faster than into concrete facts. The Relationship Channel chapter would explore how this intuition and imagination shape first dates, messages and early decisions.
The energy of 18, The Moon, describes intuition and imagination: you feel more than can be checked. In practice, that might mean sensing a lot between the lines, reading moods and signals, and sometimes staying in uncertainty longer than you planned.
For your own J, you can reflect on:
Ideal Partner
Ideal Partner K is read with the question: “With whom does this energy grow, and with whom does it fade?” This point shows the kind of people and dynamics around which your energy expands, not a fixed description of one person.
The Ideal Partner section does not describe a specific person and does not predict a meeting. It speaks about the qualities and behaviors that support your growth in love, and those that tend to drain you.
Anna’s K is 7, The Chariot. In love Anna needs answers, movement and clarity about where things are going. The Ideal Partner chapter would describe people who can move forward, make plans, and speak clearly about direction, and how this helps Anna feel safe and engaged.
To work with your K, you might ask:
Sexuality
Sexuality E, U, V is read with the question: “How does this energy behave in intimacy?” Here you look at three points together: E, U and V. This trio shows how your basic communication, family patterns and intuitive side behave when things become intimate.
For Anna, the Sexuality chapter reads three numbers: E 6 (The Lovers), U 12 (The Hanged One) and V 18 (The Moon).
When you read your own E, U and V, you can ask:
Money and People
Money and People L is read with the question: “Where do money and the people close to you meet, and what gets settled there?” This point shows how shared resources and close relationships connect and what kind of lessons or tasks tend to appear in this area.
Anna’s L is 7, The Chariot. The same Chariot energy that appears in Anna’s Ideal Partner also appears where money meets close people. For Anna, shared finances may call for movement, clear agreements and concrete goals, such as deciding together how to spend or save.
When you look at your L, you might reflect on:
What Anna's love line says
When you put all of Anna’s love line points together, you see a pattern that repeats through communication, relationship entry, choice of partner, intimacy and shared money. The matrix shows where this pattern flows easily and where it creates tension.
The key loop in Anna’s love line comes from J and K together. J 18, The Moon, shows that Anna’s way into a relationship starts with feelings, guesses and imagination. K 7, The Chariot, shows that in love Anna needs answers, movement and clarity about where things are going.
Together, J and K show a loop for Anna: Anna needs clarity, yet Anna’s way into a relationship starts with guesses. The energy of 18, The Moon, describes intuition and imagination that feel more than can be checked, while 12, The Hanged One, in U describes service and a new perspective, a pause chosen on purpose in intimacy and family patterns.
This loop does not say anything good or bad about any specific partner. It simply points to the tension between sensing a lot and needing clear direction, and the possibility of choosing pauses and new perspectives when that tension appears.
The Destiny Matrix for two
The Destiny Matrix for two is called the partnership matrix. Instead of looking at one person’s pattern in relationships, it shows what happens when two people’s energies meet.
In the partnership matrix, each point of one person is added to the same point of the other and then reduced to an arcanum from 1 to 22. For example, one person’s J is added to the other person’s J, one person’s K is added to the other person’s K, and so on across the whole matrix.
The couple’s report has 9 parts. The first part is called Beginning and Meaning of the Relationship, and it describes how the relationship starts and what it tends to mean for both people. Other parts look at topics like shared direction, communication and growth together.
If you already know your own matrix and the other person’s, you can explore how they combine using the partnership matrix. The same idea applies: it shows patterns and questions to explore, not fixed outcomes or judgments about the relationship.
