What is Human Design?
Human Design is a self-knowledge system described by Ra Uru Hu in 1987. It draws on astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah and the chakra system. From your exact date, time and place of birth it calculates where the planets were at that moment and about 88 days earlier, and turns both into a chart — the BodyGraph — with 9 centres, 36 channels and 64 gates.
Every person belongs to one of 5 types. Your type, your strategy and your inner authority describe how your energy works and how to make decisions that fit you. Treat it as an invitation to observe yourself for a few weeks, not as a verdict or a prediction.
How to read your Human Design chart
Coloured centres
Defined centres work in you all the time. White ones are open: there you take in and amplify other people’s energy.
Lines between centres
A channel forms when both gates at its ends are active. It is a constant flow of energy — a talent others notice.
Numbers
The 64 gates. Black numbers come from the moment of birth (what you know about yourself), red ones from about 88 days earlier.

What is Human Design and how does it work?
Human Design is a self-knowledge system described by Ra Uru Hu in 1987. It draws on astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah and the chakra system. How do I read my Human Design chart?
Start with your type and strategy, then your authority: together they tell you how to make decisions. Coloured centres work in you all the time, white ones take in other people’s energy. Lines are channels, numbers are gates, and the two columns list the planets of your Personality (black) and Design (red).
Do I need to know my birth time?
Ideally, yes. The time changes your profile, gates, channels and centres, and sometimes your type and authority too. If you don’t know it, tick “I don’t know my birth time”: we will show what is certain for the whole day and, for the rest, the options with time ranges. You can often find the time on your full birth certificate.
Is Human Design a test?
Human Design does not ask questions like a personality test. Your chart is calculated from your birth data, so the result is the same every time you enter the same date, time and place.
What are the 5 types in Human Design?
Generator (about 37% of people), Manifesting Generator (about 33%), Projector (about 20%), Manifestor (about 8%) and Reflector (about 1%). Each type has its own strategy: to respond, to respond and then inform, to wait for the invitation, to inform before acting, and to wait a lunar cycle.
