What is Human Design?

Human Design is a self-discovery system that combines astrology, I Ching, Kabbalah, the chakra system, and quantum physics. It was "received" in 1987 by Ra Uru Hu (Robert Alan Krakower) during a mystical experience lasting 8 days. This system creates a unique "energy map" of each person based on their date, time, and place of birth.

What does Human Design involve?

Unlike classical astrology, Human Design creates a detailed energy blueprint called the Bodygraph. This blueprint shows:

  • Type — Your basic strategy for interacting with the world (Generator, Manifestor, Projector, Reflector, or Manifesting Generator)
  • Authority — Your inner decision-making compass
  • Profile — Your life role and style of being
  • Centers — 9 energy centers (defined or open)
  • Channels and Gates — detailed energy connections

The Four Pillars of Human Design

  • Astrology — the positions of the planets at the time of birth determine the activated gates
  • I Ching — 64 hexagrams transformed into 64 gates of the Bodygraph
  • Kabbalah — the Tree of Life reflected in the structure of centers and channels
  • Hindu Chakra System — 7 chakras expanded to 9 centers

Why is Human Design unique?

Human Design does not tell you who you should be — it shows you who you are. This system emphasizes that every person has a unique design that works best when we live in accordance with it — not trying to be someone we are not.

Key concepts:

  • Deconditioning — rejecting patterns imposed by the environment
  • Strategy and Authority — two tools for making the right decisions
  • Not-Self — signals that you are living out of alignment with your design
  • Signature — a sign of living in harmony with your design

How to start your journey with Human Design?

You need your exact date, time, and place of birth. Based on this, your Bodygraph is generated. The first step is to learn about your Type and Strategy — these are the foundations upon which the entire practice is built.
